Overview: Saint Cecilia Hotel is a boutique hotel in downtown Austin with a rich history dating back to the 1800s when it served as a mansion for a prominent family. The remodeled building is a new, eclectic hotel which creates unique experiences for guests who come to visit Austin.
Approach: To pay homage to its namesake, Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of the arts, the visual approach draws inspiration from Renaissance art. The use of a collage effect against refined paintings creates a visual contrast that reflects the hotel’s eclectic and unconventional nature. The bright blue color adds a modern twist to the classic art style, representing the meeting of old and new. The overall design captures the hotel’s personality and highlights its distinctiveness within Austin’s hospitality industry.
